ADHD Career Coaching for Leaders
and Professionals
Find work that fits, or land your next role, with a coach who understands both careers and the ADHD brain.
Whether you are asking "what do I actually want to do next?" or you already know and need to land it, I help professionals with ADHD navigate career direction and career change with clarity and confidence.
What ADHD Career Coaching Is
ADHD career coaching helps adults with ADHD make confident, well-matched career decisions, whether that means finding a direction, changing fields, or landing a new role. It combines two things that rarely come together: practical career guidance and a real understanding of how ADHD shapes the way you work, choose, and follow through.
Some people come to me for career counseling for adults with ADHD because they feel stuck or unfulfilled and are not sure what they want next. Others arrive clear on the destination but need support navigating an ADHD career change without losing momentum. Both are exactly what this coaching is built for.
Because of the nature of this work, my role shifts between coach and consultant, sometimes drawing things out of you, sometimes offering direct guidance and expertise. The goal throughout is to help you figure out what you want, present yourself at your best, and land the opportunity that fits.
Who This Is For
This coaching tends to help most if you recognise yourself in one of these:
You are mid-career and quietly asking "is this it?", unsure what you want but certain it is not this.
You are ready to change fields but overwhelmed by where to start.
You keep landing roles that look right on paper but do not fit how your brain actually works.
Or you are job searching and finding the process, the applications, the follow-up, the interviews, especially hard to stay on top of with ADHD.
If any of those sound familiar, you are who I work with.
Career Coaching Approaches
I do career coaching with leaders and professionals with ADHD in two primary areas: Career Direction and Career Transition. Because of the nature of some of this work, my role can be that of a consultant – more directive and more subject matter focused – and as a coach. I can help you figure out what you want, develop an awesome resume you'll be proud of, and then support you as seek and land the opportunity that's perfect for you.
Career Direction Coaching
Career Direction coaching is for when the question is "what do I want to do next?" These questions often surface mid-career, but they can arrive at any time. Here is how we work through it together:
Assessment
We start with identifying your strengths and superpowers through the StrengthsProfile a assessment, and we explore your career values using an online card sort assessment.Career Narrative
We capture the story of your life and career through a shared Google Doc questionnaire that will help us identify your desires, natural interests, aptitudes, personal qualities, and assets, as well as any possibilities you have already identified or considered in the past.Career Sketch
We then discuss all of the above information and capture it and any insights that emerge in our discussion in a a shared Google Doc as your "Career Sketch."Career Statement
You draft two statements that fully describe what you want in your next opportunity and future career. The first one is "internal", written just for you, unedited and as fully authentic as possible. The second is is "external", for you to use in speaking with others as you explore possibilities. This version will evolve as you progress in your journey, learning more and refining what you want by talking to other people.Marketing Materials
Based on your career history and your Career Statement, we draft (or revise) and polish your resume. Then we use that content to update your LinkedIn Profile, and then we polish that profile as well.Exploring Possibilities
I help you develop a plan to explore the possibilities for bringing the career you want into reality. I support you as you go out and "network," talking to as many people as you can to evolve what you want based on what you learn from others. In this case networking is about learning, not self promotion.Opportunity Seeking
As your goal becomes more refined, your networking effort becomes more about seeking the opportunity you want, and I support you through that process, including preparing for interviews, assessing opportunities, and negotiating offers.
Career Transition Coaching
Career Transition coaching is for when you know what you want next and need support making the move. If you are navigating an ADHD career change, my job is to keep you focused, positive, and progressing. Here is how a transition program typically runs:
Orientation: We develop an understanding of why you left your last job or why you want to leave the job you have, and we develop an “exit statement” that that you can use to explain that to others in a positive and concise way.
Assessment: As above, we start with identifying your strengths and superpowers through the StrengthsProfile and VIA Character Strengths assessments. We also identify your career values using an online card sort assessment.
Career Statement: You draft two statements that fully describe what you want in your next opportunity and future career. The first one is "internal", written just for you, unedited and as fully authentic as possible. The second is is "external", for you to use in speaking with others as you explore possibilities.
Marketing Materials: Based on your career history and your Career Statement, we draft (or revise) and polish your resume. Then we use that content to update your LinkedIn Profile, and then we polish that profile as well.
Marketing Plan: I help you develop a plan to bring the opportunity you want into reality, identifying target companies and job titles. We identify people in your network that might be of help to you, and develop strategies for asking them for help.
Opportunity Seeking: I support you through this process, including networking, preparing for interviews, assessing opportunities, negotiating offers, and landing the job you want.
Why Work with Me
For career work, my background matters in a particular way. I spent years in corporate and executive roles, so I understand how hiring, careers, and professional reinvention actually work, this is not theory for me. I hold a Master's in Coaching Psychology and I am an ICF Professional Certified Coach and a Board Certified Coach, so the process is structured and proven.
And I have ADHD myself, diagnosed as an adult. I know how ADHD complicates career decisions, the indecision, the fear of choosing wrong, the way a job search can stall. I help my clients move through exactly that.
