What an ADHD Coach Does

An ADHD coach helps you build practical systems and strategies that fit the way your brain actually works. Where therapy tends to look back to understand the past, coaching for ADHD is forward-looking and action-oriented. We focus on what you want to achieve, the obstacles in your way, and the specific steps to move forward between sessions.

A specialist coach is also different from a general life coach for ADHD adults. ADHD affects focus, time, follow-through, and emotional regulation in particular ways, and coaching works best when it is built around that reality rather than generic productivity advice. Working with someone who understands ADHD deeply means less time explaining yourself and more time making progress.

In practice, that looks like clearer priorities, systems you will actually use, and steady accountability so the changes hold. The aim is not to "fix" you. It is to help you understand your own version of ADHD and use what works for you.

Understanding the Challenge

If you have ADHD, or think you might, you are probably very aware of the challenges: starting tasks, staying focused, following through, managing time and emotions. You may also be hard on yourself for them. The important thing to understand is that these challenges come from the neurochemistry of the ADHD brain, not from laziness or a lack of character. Once you understand that, you can stop fighting yourself and start building strategies that work.

“ADHD isn’t actually an attention deficit problem, its an attention consistency problem...”
— Dr. William Dodson, MD

Who I Work With

I coach managers, directors, executives, business owners, and senior professionals who have ADHD and want to perform at a high level without burning out. My clients are usually doing well on paper but feel they are working twice as hard as they should to stay on top of it all. If that sounds familiar, you are exactly who I work with.

My Approach

Learn to lead with your superpowers and manage your challenges.

My coaching is strengths-based. The same brain wiring that creates ADHD challenges also comes with real gifts – or “superpowers” – and we work to identify yours and help you to lead with them, while building practical ways to manage your challenges, ADHD-related or not. It is pragmatic, personal, and grounded in evidence-based coaching practice.

Why Work with Me

Most people choose me for two reasons: my credentials and my lived experience.

Credentials

I hold a Master's in Coaching Psychology, and I am both an ICF Professional Certified Coach and a Board Certified Coach, and I spent decades in corporate and executive roles before I became a coach. I understand the world my clients operate in, and my coaching is built on rigorous, research-backed models, not guesswork.

Lived Experience

I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. I know what it is to succeed while quietly struggling, and I have done the work to turn my own ADHD from a liability into an advantage. When we work together, you are not explaining ADHD to someone who has only read about it.

How to Choose an ADHD Coach

If you are looking for the best ADHD coach for you, a few things matter more than any title:

Training: Look for proper training and credentials, such as an ICF certification and a background in coaching or psychology. Look for genuine specialization in ADHD rather than a general coach who also takes ADHD clients. Look for real experience in your world, so that the coaching fits the pressures and challenges you actually face. And trust the fit, the right coach should feel both supportive and challenging.

That combination of credentials, specialization in ADHD and executive coaching, real-world experience, and the right fit, is exactly what I aim to offer.
